My acer laptop needed a new screen, so I sent it back for replacement. I also told them some of the keys were sticking.

 

They replaced the screen and keyboard, and even though it was unnecessary, they also replaced the hard drive.

 

Re-imaging with the NextStep DVDs was a challenge, but I got it done.

 

The laptop worked ok for about 12 hours, and then the new hard drive died.

 

I sent it back again.

 

I got it back 2 weeks later, and it seems ok. Well, except for the gash they put on my new screen. <sigh>

 

FedEx Ground seems to be totally inept.

 

FedEx Ground does suck;

 

 

Original estimate for delivery was March 12, then it changed to March 13 and it was on the truck for dleivery, then it changed to March 14 because it was "Scheduled for delivery next business day". FedEx Ground really does suck.

 

acer sucks, too. I sent my laptop to them several times, and this last time they were supposed to fix the screen that they scratched as well as repair the broken hinge. Instead of replacing the screen, they did nothing. Instead of completely fixing the broken hinge, they only partially fixed it. Did I tell you that when I called about this and told them the hinge was broken, the girl on the other end said "What's a hinge"? Don't buy acer products!

 

We graduate on May 22nd (or before, at the GRE)!
